Since 1958, a cadre of dancers, of different faiths, backgrounds and abilities have gathered with one goal - to celebrate dance as a sacred art. For members of the Sacred Dance Guild, dance is a form of prayer, a means of spiritual growth and an integration of mind, body and spirit.
From July 20-25, the campus of Connecticut College in New London, CT will host more than 250 sacred dancers who have assembled for the group's 50th anniversary Festival.
The group invites anyone interested in dancing as a sacred art to participate in the Festival. Full registrations, day registrations, and special event registrations are available.
The Sacred Dance Guild, a 501(c)3 a non-profit with administrative offices in Maryland has members and activities all over North America with some overseas.
