  • None of the Above -  Part One of a three-part series on the fast-growing number of Americans – now twenty percent of US adults – who have no affiliation with any religious organization.  Host Bob Abernethy reports the results of a joint Pew Forum/Religion&Ethics NewsWeekly survey, released this week, on the characteristics of the unaffiliated, especially the one-third of young people 18 to 29 who describe themselves as atheists, agnostics or “nothing in particular.”  Why is this group growing so fast, and what are the implications of this growth for politics and religion?
  • Minnesota Marriage Amendment – Minnesotans will vote in the upcoming election on a hotly contested amendment to the state constitution that would define marriage as the union of one man and one woman.  As Fred de Sam Lazaro reports, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Catholic archdiocese is appropriating more than one million dollars to support the amendment but other religious organizations are working to defeat it.

Embeddable  versions of new segments become available at www.pbs.org/religionandethics on Fridays between noon and 6 p.m. EST
