ILIFF SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY ADDS CAREER CENTER
Center Aids Students’ Networking, Employment Searching and Interviewing

DENVER – The Iliff School of Theology has opened a Career Center to support students in their quest for employment.

“Career counseling services are integral in supporting students preparing to join the workforce,” said Albert Hernández, Ph.D., interim president, chief executive officer, and associate professor of the History of Christianity.  “Iliff is committed to providing our students with the assistance they need to secure positions in their fields.  Our new Career Center will help them accomplish their job search goals.”

Students can take advantage of Career Center services by scheduling individual career counseling sessions, attending small group meetings and participating in a variety of career workshops.

“An excellent resume, solid strategy, identifying appropriate resources, and confident networking skills are the best tools for active employment seekers to put to use,” commented Packard Brown, director, Career Center.  "Iliff students present a diverse skill set to employers.  They are highly skilled and passionate about being servants in the world.”

Iliff's new Career Center offers a number of services, including: 
• Interview skills development
• Uncovering job opportunities through Career Assessment
• Resume development
• Assistance with interpersonal and social networking

The Center’s hours are the following on alternating weeks:
• 4:30 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• 4:30 – 8 pm., Tuesday, Thursday and 1 – 4:30 p.m., Friday
• 1 – 4:30 p.m., Saturday (by appointment)

The Iliff School of Theology is a graduate theological school related to the United Methodist Church, serving more than 38 different faith traditions. Founded in 1892, the school provides several degree programs, including a Joint Ph.D. Program with the University of Denver.
