BibleWalk Ohio’s Only Life-Size Wax Museum
Celebrates 25th Anniversary
With 25 cent tours

Mansfield, Ohio – BibleWalk Ohio’s only life-size wax museum and one of our nation’s leading inspirational and non-denominational museums will celebrate it’s 25th Anniversary by offering 25 cent tours Sunday, August 12th  thru Friday, August 17th.

BibleWalk, aka The Living Bible Museum, first opened its doors on August 15, 1987.  The original museum consisted of 19 scenes highlighting both the Old and New Testaments.  At that time, the mannequins were referred to as museum quality fiberglass.  And 25 years later….

BibleWalk has expanded into 4 unique tours:  The Life of Christ (60 min); The Miracles of the Old Testament (60 min); The Museum of Christian Martyrs (30 min); and The Heart of the Reformation (30 min). The most recent tour, The Heart of the Reformation, opened in 2003.  With the completion of this tour BibleWalk has upgraded into a life-size wax museum featuring over 70 dioramas and over 300 wax figures.  “It has become the largest religious wax museum in the world,” says Director Julia Mott-Hardin.

Also on display at BibleWalk: a collection of rare Bibles and braille Bibles; religious wood carvings; three animated scenes donated by the American Bible Society; and the largest collection of American votive folk-art to be found in the United States.  “Actually our collection of American votive folk-art was once a museum in itself, it was known as The Gem Vesper’s Museum in Barton, New York. We were most thankful when it was donated to us in it’s entirety,” continues Mott-Hardin.

BibleWalk is also home to the Christian Dinner Theater aptly named, “Dinner With Grace”.   Three different seasonal plays are offered throughout the year.  A complete listing and reservation form can be found on the website www.biblewalk.us.

“As we look back with most thankful hearts to God for allowing us to present His Holy Bible in this unique way, we also look ahead with equally thankful hearts for what God has prepared for us in the future,” shares Mott-Hardin.  BibleWalk has plans to add  three more tours. Information will be released at a later date.
